Common questions
How do I get discovered by scouts?
Complete your profile and upload film. Scouts filter on sport, position, graduation year, division target, GPA and verified measurables - an incomplete profile will not appear in those searches. Film is the single strongest signal: profiles with it get substantially more scout attention.
Why is my film not visible yet?
Every upload is reviewed before it goes public. You will get an email when it is approved, or one explaining why if it is not. Most reviews finish within a day.
How do I become a verified scout or coach?
Create a scout account and complete onboarding with your organization details. The ScoutingWave team checks each one by hand before granting search access, and you will be emailed either way.
Is my recruiting journal private?
Yes. Journal entries are visible only to you. No scout, coach or organization can read them, and they are excluded from every search and export except your own data export.
Can I make my profile private?
Yes, from Settings. A private profile does not appear in scout searches, public directories, the leaderboard or the sitemap. You can change it back at any time.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Settings, then Billing, then Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the period you already paid for ends. Your profile and film are not deleted.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings, then Account. Export gives you everything on your account as a file. Deleting removes your profile, film, messages and journal permanently - it cannot be undone.
Does the AI rate or rank athletes?
No. The AI analysis describes what is in your film - strengths, development areas and notable moments - in words a coach can read. It does not produce a talent score, and ScoutingWave does not rank athletes against each other on ability.
Reporting a problem with someone
Every public profile and every film has a report option. Reports go to a human reviewer, not an automated queue. If someone is contacting you and you would rather they did not, you can block them from their profile, which also hides your profile from them.
